What type of session do I need?
For those unaccustomed to all this jargon, deciding exactly what type of session you need can be confusing and overwhelming. Read below to learn more about each service I offer and its purpose.

Therapeutic Massage is ideal for increasing circulation, energizing overused muscles and reducing chronic pain and tension. My massage sessions are strongly influenced by my Rolfing training and as such tend to be deeper and slower than typical massages. Massage often focuses on on what hurts. Massage requires the client to undress more and is great for those who are comfortable doing so. Learn more.
Cupping Therapy is effective at increasing circulation, reducing adhesions, increasing glide between layers of underlying tissue, scar mobilization and removing metabolic waste from muscles and surrounding tissue. I frequently combine massage and cupping to achieve even greater results than either modality alone. Cupping requires the client to undress more and is great for those who are comfortable doing so. Rolfing® is great for creating more space and ease of movement between bodily structures. Primarily focused on connective tissue - fascia, tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints - it looks at the body as a whole and aims to achieve balance throughout the system. Rolfing is beneficial for chronic and acute pain, injury, accident and surgery recovery, as well as posture and alignment issues. Rolfing works on why something hurts, the root of the problem. These sessions are often performed while the client is fully clothed and are great for those who would prefer not to undress. Learn more.

Radical Idea: combine one, two or all three of the modalities listed above. I can't help but be influenced by all of the modality trainings I've received. At this point, it is incredibly difficult for me to provide a single modality session. My Rolfing® education taught me to look at the body as a whole and at how different parts of the body influence each other. Contrast that with how my massage and cupping educations emphasized the physiological results of manual work. I can't help but bare that in mind when trying to increase fluidity in an area, knowing the effects on blood and lymph circulation. Learn more.
